About Us
Meet Lexy, Owner of The Wild Horse Co
I was born and raised in Northeast Oklahoma in the Cherokee Nation Reservation, where my family’s deep roots in the western lifestyle shaped who I am today. It’s a way of life that’s second nature to me.
While attending Oklahoma State University, I had the privilege of meeting students from diverse Native American cultures. Through these connections, I discovered a profound love for Native jewelry and the rich stories it tells.
A Love for Native American Jewelry
My journey into this business began when a local silversmith back home welcomed me into his shop. Surrounded by vibrant stones and intricate craftsmanship, I was captivated—not just by the artistry, but by the deep meaning and symbolism each piece carried. This experience sparked a passion that led me to seek out other Native American artists and explore the cultural significance of their work.
For me, Native jewelry became more than adornment; it became a bridge—connecting me to my heritage and allowing me to engage with others, both within and beyond my culture. I’ve traveled across the U.S., learning from talented artisans and immersing myself in the beauty of their traditions.
After marrying my husband, Tyler, I began sharing my love for Native jewelry with friends. This blossomed into a deep commitment to supporting Native artists and raising awareness of their invaluable contributions. Today, my passion lies in celebrating the artistry, history, and spirit that Native jewelry embodies, while honoring the incredible talent behind each piece.
